[Bobby kicks open the door to the kitchen, rolling his shoulder with a quiet grimace. Goddamn wendigos. He sets the shotgun down nearest the door, pulls a beer out of the fridge and heads for the bank of phones and answering machines.
[Hn. Wasn't expecting a message on that line. But he twists off the cap and takes a long pull from the beer as he listens to the hesitant voice. The rest of the calls can wait. He pulls a cell phone out of his pocket and dials. Voicemail. Figures]
Door's always open, kid. You know that. Sam's gonna be here for about a week startin next Thursday if you wanna see him.
